Attached is the permission slip for our October campout on the 18th-20th . We’ll be camping at Camp Lazarus West Activity Field. This is the “back” entrance of the camp. DO NOT USE THE MAIN ENTRANCE. Enter off Chapman Road. Approximately 4600 Chapman Rd
The Scouts will have two activities for this campout. We’ll be doing some cooking competitions between patrols. The objective being learning new cooking techniques, trying new foods, and having some fun with it. We are still working through the details of the competition, so if your Scout is a grubmaster, please make sure they ask for all the information when the time comes. It will definitely be a little different than normal.
Secondly, we’ll be spending some time on the shooting range. We have some certified range safety officers coming out to let us shoot .22 rifles on the Rifle Range. They are a very experienced group that’s helped us out several times before and also put on most of the shooting events around the Council.
We will have a medium sized shelter available to us. All campers will be tent camping.
Lastly, it’s the time of year we’ll begin having visitors from local Packs come join us. Let’s please make them feel welcome. For shooting, we will have BBs available for them.
